Dispatch from China: From Guilin to Yangshuo

Our founder, Steve Hart, currently is touring China and has been sharing photos of his travels along the way. He's already visited the Great Wall of China ("one of the most magnificent sites I have ever seen”) and the "fascinating" Terracotta Warriors and enjoyed the delicious food in Xi'an, home of Chinese noodles.

Most recently, Steve spent the day in Guilin — known for its scenery and a popular tourist destination — before enjoying a river cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Here's Steve's latest dispatch, along with several of his photos below.

“I think that Guilin is one of the most beautiful cities in China. With a population of about 5 million, it is considered small relative to other cities here. Set by the Li River and the pinnacle hills that dot the area, it has a nice calm feel to it. From Guilin, it is a delightful trip to take a boat ride along the Li River to Yangshuo. Its four hours of spectacular views — like taking a boat ride along an art gallery. As you can see, it was wet weather when I was there, but still gorgeous.”

Stay tuned for more from Steve on his trip to China.
