Day-by-Day Details
Day 1 - Boston
Depart for Boston’s Logan airport and transfer to your hotel. Later, take a walking tour of Harvard University. Established in 1636, this prestigious, Ivy League school is the oldest institute of higher learning in the United States, spend some time exploring the many shops, and cafes in Harvard Square and join your welcome dinner!
Day 2 - Boston
This morning, take a walk along the 2.5 mile long Freedom Trail and learn about the churches, meeting houses, cemeteries and historical markers and their tremendous significance to the history of the United States. Later, enjoy some free time for lunch and souvenir shopping in Faneuil Hall. This afternoon, visit Boston’s North End, home of the Old North Church, and lots of great Italian eateries. Continue with a walk to the historic neighborhood of Charlestown to see the USS Constitution, known as “Old Ironsides” and visit the Bunker Hill Monument. Tonight, attend a Boston Red Sox game (pending schedule).
Day 3 - Boston
This morning, meet with a local professor and specialist to discuss the US initiatives in offshore wind research. Later, visit the Museum of Science where science and technology come alive, and watch a featured IMAX movie. Later, take an unique tour of Boston by land and by sea on a Duck Tour, aboard a replica of a WWII amphibious vehicle.
Day 4 - Boston
This morning, take the train to visit Salem, MA, famous for its 1692 witch trials, during which several locals were executed for allegedly practicing witchcraft, visit the Witch House. Later, return to Boston, and visit View Boston, the tallest observation deck in New England and learn more about Boston through its immersive exhibits. Tonight, join your farewell dinner!
Day 5 - Departure Day
Transfer to Boston Logan Airport for your return flight home.
